Day 24

The fastest ER visit ever. We were in and out in 1 hour 10 minutes, including parking! Maya has croup and her breathing treatments weren't working, so I had to take her in. The good news is that the steroid is working for her now.

Day 23

Ben was trying to take his own photograph. :)

We thought going to the park -- following a week of heavy rain -- would be a great idea. We didn't think about the ground being soaking wet still. Sophia thought the mud was funny. Maya blamed the mud on Sophia. ;)

Sophia calls these things "Monkey Guts". I think she's silly.
This is the expression that Alberto makes when he thinks I'm being a dork. LOL. I'm sure he'll make this same expression when he sees that I posted this on my blog. LOLOLOL!

Day 22

Sophia got glasses today!!! She picked them out all by herself. It's hard to tell in the picture, but they are a light purple and the arms have little yellow flowers.

I had Maya's Zhu Zhu pet out of the box for about a minute and hadn't even had a chance to tell the girls about the TWO warnings on the box saying to keep it away from hair...

Day 21

It's raining, it's pouring... Sophia lures Ben out into the rain.

And they splash in puddles.

Ben is climbing now and it is making me crazy. There is nothing he will not try to climb on.

Day 20

What's not to love...a (little) man who wants to help with the dishes and give me flowers? lol

We started our morning with a rainbow just after sunrise. :)

After A LOT of sugar and running around, this was Maya 1 mile down the road on the way home. I'm pretty sure she was asleep, even though her eyes were open. LOL.

Day 15

The photo doesn't show how funny the moment was, but Ben was trying to climb the bookshelf. Sometimes when the kids won't listen to me, I point to my nose and tell them to look at me, to get their focus away from whatever they are doing. I was telling Ben that babies don't climb on bookshelves and Maya told me she would do it. She started telling Ben "Look at me, Ben. Look at me." It worked, because he sat down and looked at her like she was crazy. :)

Day 14

Hmmm, we didn't use butter with dinner, yet I found this on the kitchen counter. Who could it be, who could it be??? If you know my kids, it's an easy answer. LOL!

Day 13

Big dog, little baby. :)

The kids got a trampoline for Christmas. They love it so much that I still haven't moved it out of the family room. I loved it, because I thought it would burn off all their extra energy. We must have a defective one, because the kids are still super hyper after bouncing all afternoon. ;)

Maya put on her own lip gloss. (And look at little Sophia in the background. She still had baby chub. *sniff* *sniff*)


Sophia finished her breakfast and vitamins, until I noticed her plate at a slight angle. ;)

Day 12

Liberty stole Maya's sausage this morning. She also told us that the Statue of Liberty is a huge statue of our dog. ;)
The way Sophia starts every morning. She's slow to warm up. ;)

Day 11

A box is the best toy ever! ;)

Grandma Elga and Pop-Pop Popo came over for dinner tonight.

Day 10

For Daddy's first day home from Qatar, the girls set their play table and served him nacatamales for lunch. He then taught them that the proper way to drink soda out of a teacup was to put your pinky finger out. ;)
I don't know what his rush was, but Ben grabbed some paper from his sisters, ran away, and quickly tried to eat it.
